username[edit]
Just FYI, at least four other admins reviewed the WP:UAA report on that username and did not feel it warranted an immediate indef block before even editing, let alone a hardblock. [1]. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:58, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for linking; I misread the username as "Pussyimposter42069" and blocked as profane. I have unblocked and will also keep an eye on the contributions. My apologies, SpencerT•C 19:02, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
- I could see how that would change the thought process on it. Thanks for replying. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:04, 23 April 2022 (UTC)

Minor edit request on Ziff Davis article page - Updating number of employees - Infobox[edit]
Hi Spencer,
I'd greatly appreciate it if you can check out a minor edit request on Ziff Davis' article page for updating the employee number in the infobox.
Thank you for your help,

- Following an RfC, a change has been made to the administrators inactivity policy. Under the new policy, if an administrator has not made at least 100 edits over a period of 5 years they may be desysopped for inactivity.
- Following a discussion on the bureaucrat's noticeboard, a change has been made to the bureaucrats inactivity policy.
- The ability to undelete the associated talk page when undeleting a page has been added. This was the 11th wish of the 2021 Community Wishlist Survey.
- A public status system for WMF wikis has been created. It is located at https://www.wikimediastatus.net/ and is hosted separately to WMF wikis so in the case of an outage it will remain viewable.
- Remedy 2 of the St Christopher case has been rescinded following a motion. The remedy previously authorised administrators to place a ban on single-purpose accounts who were disruptively editing on the article St Christopher Iba Mar Diop College of Medicine or related pages from those pages.
Long(ish) time[edit]
Hi Spencer, hope things are well. I'm following up here just to see if there's a chance you might have time to look at the Robert Rubin request again sometime soon. Over the last couple of months, I haven't had any luck finding help from wikiprojects or from previously involved editors. I am starting to think that, if you are no longer available, I'm better off closing the request and thinking a bit smaller with a follow-up request. After all, I recognize it's complex subject matter, a lot for anyone to get up to speed with. And of course, the few months in between replies from me at the start of the year didn't help, either. Anyway, I figured it was worth trying one last time. No rush, but let me know when you can. Best, WWB Too (Talk · COI) 01:15, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not going to have the dedicated time to give this request the full effort it deserves within the next couple of weeks, but I think that if you separate the request into more digestible chunks, it will make it much easier to review. What I would suggest is even making a table, with one column related to "current article text", one column for "suggested article text" (or a removal if it's removed), and one with the rationale for the change (possibly including a reference). Having this all combined into a huge multi-paragraph addition like it is at present makes it much harder for editors to review, rather than something that has sentence-by-sentence review of changes with rationale, when someone can come by and fix a sentence or two, and gradually review each suggestion. For an example of what this looks like, see here: Talk:Primary hyperoxaluria SpencerT•C 01:32, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
Thanks[edit]
Thanks for cleaning up the maths articles after 61.221.60.160. I'd concluded independently that it was Xayahrainie43. Some of their edits make sense, but they just paste their preferred version repeatedly, overwriting everyone else's improvements. Certes (talk) 15:33, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
