The Photograph That Changed My Life

Dear Theroadislong,

My references are from Financial Times, Guardian and RPS websites, I wonder why you don't accept these articles as reliable, secondary sources that are independent. I think they are very reliable and very independent resources.

Best, elifnurk

thanks for the review , the concerned actor is highly notable and the only amazon link i added is a watch link of her movie as amazon is one the biggest OTT platform today.maybe i dont know the technical language of wikipedia as im new...sir why dont you correct the article im attaching the reference links and can send you the data i have collected and written.or you can recommend an author who writes about actors for me to learn better.

Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure

Hi there, I've declared my employee and client as per the Paid-contribution disclosure you suggested. Would you mind having a look at my page to if that is suffice to move forward?

Many thanks in advanced.

Deleting my page

I was going to edit my page a bit more, but the submission got declined. Can you please help me?

I will use sources on my Yonges Island page......

Trust me I will use sources!! It will be put on the page within 3 days...

So, if I edit my draft with some sources, Is there a small percent of chance of it being accepted this time? Please

Thank you Theroadislong for reviewing Michael P. Snyder's page so quickly!

I very much appreciate the feedback regarding links to Wikipedia/Amazon & I am going through the document now to remove these links, replace as many as possible with non-Wikipedia/Amazon links!

Hi, thanks for reviewing our page. First time I have written so very new to this.

The main commonwealth games link has a video where I talk about the design for several minutes. Is there a better way to refer to that? I appreciate the text isn't that in-depth.

I have a few more pages to reference, are these any more suitable rather than passing references?

There is also this link, but we sponsored the content so not that independant, but in-depth and a well respected publication's-baton

Thanks, Tom (talk) 13:56, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

Wikipedia really isn't the place to be promoting your design, a video of you is not independent or reliable, blogs are not considered reliable and sponsored contnet clearly isn't independent and please remember to log in when posting. Theroadislong (talk) 13:59, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

Hello dear Theroadislong. Wibty article is available on Azerbaijan Wiki, WikiData and WikiCommons. --Santorica (talk) 14:36, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

I'm afraid that has no relevance, you have uploaded some images to commons, that confers zero notability and having an article in another language Wikipedia does not mean we have one here. Theroadislong (talk) 14:42, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

MRL Consulting (Draft Page)

Hi There

I trust that you are well. I just wanted to chat with you and understand how can I improve my first draft page to get it published?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kelvin Gates (talkcontribs) 15:05, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

Firstly do you have any connection to the company? The draft is very poorly sourced with content NOT supported by the sources. Theroadislong (talk) 15:28, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

I recently published an article and was not accepted by your side (sending again)

I am expecting your response to my query which I sent to you on 30th of December, 2021.

Dear Theroadislong

I have rewritten a draft Wikipedia entry on Dutch naval architect Piet van Ossanen. I'd appreciate if you can read it you and see if it needs more work. With kind regards, 2021DutchSailor (talk) 14:33, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

Olimpia Smajlaj Page

I have just finished writing the article for Olimpia Smajlaj. Please let me know what information do i need to add to have the article published in Wikipedia. This is my first article.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Enidbala (talkcontribs) 14:34, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

You moved Olimpia Smajlaj from draft twice without submitting it for review, it has now been sent to WP:AFD you can comment there on why you think she passes WP:NSINGER. Theroadislong (talk) 14:38, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

I do not know who moved the page online, i was working on my draft. Please can you help me to send it for review and give me some advices to make the article acceptable for wikipedia.

Thanks in advance Theroadislong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Enidbala (talkcontribs) 14:57, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

Olimpia Smajlaj would need to pass the criteria at WP:NSINGER, she doesn't so it has been sent for deletion, you can comment here Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Olimpia Smajlaj (2nd nomination). Theroadislong (talk) 15:01, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

Climate-ADAPT page

Dear Theroadislong, thank you again for your comment to my article ( I would like to ask you a question, please: - You wrote that "Content like "Web links guide users to resources in English as well as external sources of information." is entirely promotional. As this is something that I describe in a neutral and objective way, by looking at the platform, is this incorrect? If so, does any neutral description of the Climate-ADAPT platform (i.e.: its structure) not acceptable? For example, if I look at pages like this one (, I see a description of the content of the database, without any specific reference. Could you please help me understand where the difference lies? - You wrote "Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a topic". As the importance of Climate-ADAPT as a knowledge sharing platform is mentioned in the Adaptation Strategy of the European Commission, isn't this a reliable source? Furthermore, aren't the references from the books and peer-reviewed articles from scientific journals that I have included reliable enough? If not, could you please help me understand what is missing or what a reliable source could be? - You also wrote "Please also review conflict of interest.". However, I have already disclosed all the necessary information about my profile and contribution. Below your comment, you can see that it is mentioned that "This article contains paid contributions.". - Also, the language is very neutral, partially based on the simple description of the platform (i.e.: menu items) and partially taken from books, articles and official documents issued by European Institutions. May I kindly ask you to advice more specifically on the points above? Any additional hint would be extremely appreciated. Thank you so much in advance! Chiaramzztt (talk) 15:48, 6 January 2022 (UTC)

I suggest you submit the draft for review I will not review it, but let others take a look. Paid editing will be VERY heavily scrutinised. The fact that other similar articles exist is not a good argument. Theroadislong (talk) 16:02, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
Thank you Theroadislong, I will do so and see what additional feedback I get. My reference to the other article was meant to simply understand relevant difference, so that I could improve my article and make it compliant with the rules. I just want to make sure the article meets Wikipedia's criteria. Thank you very much for your advice! Chiaramzztt (talk) 08:53, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

Need help on: Submission declined

hi i recently created a page which got declined by you and had two comments as follwing.

1. is submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

2. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion on Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

I have updated reference links and i don't understand why it is appearing as an advertisement. Can you please help me on this, what should I change to get this page published? Ar.S.Anand Kumar (talk) 09:38, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

Re: Draft:Papni School of Architecture In order for an article’s subject to be considered notable by the Wikipedia community, we require that it receive significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject this is what you base an article on. Your draft has a single source, that of the institution itself, we have no interest in what they say about themselves. Theroadislong (talk) 09:42, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

Reason for my article to get declined

My article, got declined by you. This is a multiple award winning film . I had mentioned the OTT links of the film as well as the newspaper articles as well as the award website links of the movie. Since, I am new to this , Kindly let me know what changes i can make in it for it to get accepted.

Also, in the comments section, you have mentioned, undisclosed paid editing needs to be addressed. Kindly explain to me what it means and how to sort it out ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NilayMitash1986 (talkcontribs) 21:22, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

NilayMitash1986 The awards do not appear to be notable (no Wikipedia articles about them) and draft creator User:KaizenKraft has been blocked for promotion, what is your connection to the film I wonder, it's the only thing you have worked on here. Theroadislong (talk) 21:29, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

Okay. These awards are reputable awards. Will it be enough if i attach newspaper articles of reputed newspaper like TimesOfIndia mentioning the name of these awards? Also, I have worked as a part of the film. What is the process to disclose this ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NilayMitash1986 (talkcontribs) 22:42, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

See Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide you need to disclose your conflict of interest on your user page. Theroadislong (talk) 09:06, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

Edit: Demi Dahmer

Thank you for your input

Edit: Demi Dhamer I am not showing "Amazon" I am showing the artist was on the cover of the magazine. Please be more clear and I have read the guidelines many times. I'm showing multiple citations articles, news, Blogs and and interviews. There are many articles on Wikipedia with artists that have far less citations. " Madhat1988 (talk) 11:45, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

If I am missing something I would like a more clear and not a passive explanation. Thank you for your time. Madhat1988 (talk) 11:48, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

This [1] is a reference to Amazon, it is a dead link, and Amazon cannot be used as a source, neither can other photographs of magazine covers, though the content of the magazines would be great as sources. Blogs and interviews are not acceptable. Theroadislong (talk) 11:52, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
That other crap articles exist is not a reason to create more. Theroadislong (talk) 11:52, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
The actress Frenchy Morgan who I personally know. Has used IMDB in her Wikipedia page. Who can one artist have certain things and another not? Please do not reference things as crap it is not nice to say and not professional.

Thank you. Madhat1988 (talk) 14:21, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

Did you read other stuff exists? The fact that another article has poor unreliable sources doesn't mean that we create others like it. I have removed the IMDb source from Angelique Morgan thanks for the heads up. Theroadislong (talk) 14:28, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

How many 3 party independent citations should a artist have before getting accepted? Madhat1988 (talk) 20:26, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

In light of this [2] perhaps you should ask elsewhere for help.Theroadislong (talk) 20:36, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
Also like to say thank you for taking the time to talk to me. Just wanted to let you know I have autism so if I seem a little off i apologise.I am new on here my family thinks this will be good for me. Thank you again. Just so you know I am a fan of this artist because he stands up for people like me. He also is a big supporter of the LGBTQ community. Madhat1988 (talk) 20:36, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
The draft needs to pass the criteria at WP:NSINGER and I'm not certain it does yet, I wish you well. Theroadislong (talk) 20:40, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

In this comment, did you really mean AFC, or perhaps AFD? --David Biddulph (talk) 18:25, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

Thanks...I spend more time at AFC but meant AFD. Theroadislong (talk) 19:02, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

All Tiny Creatures page

what exactly is wrong with this page?

It has 7 citations from some of the most credible music magazines that exist (Stereogum, Pitchfork, SPIN, The AV Club) and cross references to members being in some of the literal biggest bands that exist (Bon Iver).

Please tell me what I could possibly do to make it more "credible"?

---Tom — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 23:35, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

Firstly you appear to have a conflict of interest being a band member, albeit you are editing now whilst logged ogged. The draft Draft:All Tiny Creatures does not show how the band meets WP:NBAND, the fact that two members went on to play in notable bands is irrelevant. Theroadislong (talk) 08:43, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

Request on 23:37:34, 12 January 2022 for assistance on AfC submission by Benwah the magnificent

I don't know if this is a proper place to discuss the item but to me, from the information available, it seems so. Please correct me if I am wrong.

first, this was written on my sandbox and I only published to save my work. I am a brand new user and don't know how all this stuff is supposed to work.

second, there is a Spanish version on the exact same topic in Wikipedia. This subject is so new there is not much information about it.

third, thanks for your quick review in light of the circumstances. in regards to COI I am a beta tester and thought it would warrant a nice article about the game to this point

Benwah the magnificent (talk) 23:37, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

You say "This subject is so new there is not much information about it." Wikipedia is not the place to tell the world about new things, Wikipedia only reports on what reliable sources say about a topic. Sources need to be in depth and significant coverage not mere mentions. Theroadislong (talk) 07:28, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi, if what you do Lost on You does Draft:Lost_on_You_Music doesn't have enough notability for you, then you are a very bad person.

I didn't comment on notability, I declined the draft because it appeared to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Theroadislong (talk) 10:48, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Theroadislong The sources cited are the best electronic music magazines in the world. The moderators should have a little more information before making a review of a particular article, way too many mediocre people on Wikipedia taking decisions... And it doesn't feel like an advertisement at ALL, it actually says very little about Lost on You's charitable work, it's just that when it comes to helping people in need, to being kind, no one really cares. If we are going to talk about advertisements, I suggest you take a look at this one. Diynamic and it's just one example of the amount of junk content on Wikipedia.

I am very sorry but I do not agree with your decision at all. Zero objectivity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrzej Rybkiewicz (talkcontribs) 11:00, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Draft: Plastometrex

Hi Theroadislong, I'm still new at wikipedia and starting to learn how everything works. Indeed you were correct that the article was too promotional, my apologies for that. If I put it up for review again I will be sure to change that! Though as I understand more what notability actually means (thought I did but I was wrong), it will probably be a while before that will happen. I will read up and will do better when/if I write the page on the new technology the company is based on (assuming that is notable :D). Thanks for the great work, you wiki editors are the light in the world of misinformation and subliminal promotion (which I somewhat did accidentally myself :( ) So just wanted to put some positivity here and say thanks! --Vilnix (talk) 15:07, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi, would you mond to tell me where it is too promotionnal please ? I add all the references I have and tried to be neutral as I can. Thanks for feedback — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jo Perras (talkcontribs) 15:21, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Draft:Alenka Star Be

Hello! I think this is clearly a misconception. What fleeting mentions? The article contains a review of a famous critic, a full biography from authoritative sources, getting into famous charts. Justify, please, your result. Calvinn1 (talk) 18:17, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Sorry but your draft did not appear to pass the criteria at WP:MUSICBIO, you can ask for independent advice here Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk. Theroadislong (talk) 18:28, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
There, anyway, the article will not be taken out into the main space. The article contains a review from a well-known critic, charts, and other media publications that describe the person and some nominations in as much detail as possible. Ranks 4th as the most followed Likee blogger. And this is also confirmed by an authoritative source in the article. Collectively significant as a blogger and singer. Calvinn1 (talk) 18:41, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

What went wrong with my submission?

Can you please inform my why my submission was rejected? Is there anything I can do to submit it successfully? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nmellios (talkcontribs) 18:53, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Glilot Capital Draft

Hi there - I've been editing again and removed a lot of information from the draft (

What else makes it sound like an advertisement? All the information provided is unbiased, footnoted, objective, and accurate.

I'd appreciate any feedback so I'd be able to align the article to Wikipedia's rules.

Yes sure, I will leave it for another reviewer though to be fair. Theroadislong (talk) 16:21, 19 January 2022 (UTC)

Slywriter comment on Draft:Xerox 2700 Distributed Electronic Printer

Dear Theroadislong: Thank you for your past comments. I don't know how to respond directly to a comment by Slywriter on my draft. The comment asked for more citations and I have added a link to an interview with Gary Starkweather, laser printer patentee, with whom I work at Xerox beginning in 1968. Other material for my article came from original engineering documents and personal papers. I was hoping to record the information before it is lost. Please forward to Slywriter if possible. Many thanks. Ruston7 (talk) 19:05, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

@Slywriter: None of that would be usable I'm afraid, interviews are not reliable or independent and original documents and personal documents are likewise not suitable. Theroadislong (talk) 19:11, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

I took you counsel and have improved the references. I hope the article will be accepted. Many thanks and best regards.Nellly2022 (talk) 22:41, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

Having declined it once, I will leave it for another reviewer to have a look. Theroadislong (talk) 22:46, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

Many thanks for the reply. I also want to learn editing under you. How can I go about it, please. I want to be a top Wiki editor.Nellly2022 (talk) 22:49, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

easystats article

Hi! You recently reviewed the article, that 1) was classified as not meeting the requirements for an article and 2) had external links in the body. I just wanted to enquire and clarify whether it's worth it to try to edit it further. I originally thought this article had its place as other similarly popular software have one - albeit small - e.g., tidyverse or statsmodels. I heavily used the tidyverse article as a reference for content and length, which also includes external links in the body. My questions are: should I edit the tidyverse to remove the external links too? Should I remove the external links and add more secondary sources to the new easystats one, or does it have other fundamental issues preventing its creation? Thanks a lot, and apologies if that's not the right place to ask. Neuropsychologist (talk) 09:54, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

The article Tidyverse wasn't a very good model, see WP:OSE, removing the external links and adding more independent reliable sources would greatly help in getting it accepted. Theroadislong (talk) 10:07, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

Park Lane Stables

Hi there,

I am an unpaid volunteer and the edit I made was a factual correction by an overzealous editor. Park Lane Stables is not run by the RDA it belongs to the RDA as a governing body. If I am not 'allowed' to edit and expand on this historic stables with the research a group of locals interested in history this article may not exist. I note that you have refused to put my article Morning Edition back onto Wikipedia. I did not fully understand why it was draftified in the first place so can you please tell me why you have refused to allow it back onto Wikipedia. (Rillington (talk) 13:55, 17 January 2022 (UTC))

A Wikipedia article summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a topic, your draft Draft:Morning Edition (BBC radio programme) has zero independent sources, hence it was declined. Theroadislong (talk) 13:59, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for your speedy response. Many articles on Wikipedia which have been accepted have no sources. Programme listings guides are independent of the actual topic so I do not understand why this article has been removed and subsequently rejected by yourself for inclusion on Wikipedia. Dear Theroadislong, I read some help links, and have fixed the references and added some independent references from some academic books. Though you told me to wait for another reviewer to look at my article, please if you have the time, kindly look at it. Cheers! Nellly2022 (talk) 22:21, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

No I will let another reviewer look, it was deleted not long ago here Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chris Ojigbani and I still don't think he passes WP:GNG. Theroadislong (talk) 22:28, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

The article/Chris Ojigbani deleted was not written or edited by me and was obviously weak. I have used many independent reliable references for the article and there are even many more reliable references I could use, but I feel the ones I have used are enough. I am sorry for disturbing you, knowing that you are a volunteer, but I would be grateful if you can look at it again as I have learnt a lot these few days and have greatly improved the article. The subject is very notable in Africa and there are too many reliable sources to use as reference. I have used some, and after my last editing, I have still seen many academic journals and books I can use as sources of notability for the subject. But I think the references I have used are enough to prove his notability. Kindly check the article when you are a bit free, please. Thanks a lot! Cheers! Draft: DoD Guidons

Good evening (or morning/afternoon wherever you're at). I already informed my client it would be hard to get the page on Wikipedia without significant news or other information about the company meeting the notability requirements. However, you stated that the information reads nothing like an encyclopedia. I utilized the Wikipedia template here: [[4]] as a guideline. Can you give me more advice on what you meant with your comment and how to improve it (not interested in getting the current article reviewed again right now until my client provides me with the requested independent notability documentation), but just advice on how to improve in the future. Thank you for your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leftconcerned (talkcontribs) 03:25, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

Hello, Unfortunately, there is no different source for female actors and activists living in Iran, and if there is and they do not protect their personalities and publish various sources in foreign sources, it is outside the scope of Iranian politics. It may be a problem for them, so the best source for Iranian actresses living in Iran are these sites, whose names are also recorded in the movies. Because if it was out of this, the directors and producers would not allow access to their name on the imdb site.

Thank you for your attention and sympathy for the wiki rules, and I hope you can help make the article well-publicized. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:5EC0:581B:12A1:5927:8DAB:96E9:DC64 (talk) 09:34, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

Request on 14:20:57, 18 January 2022 for assistance on AfC submission by TonyRao

Hello Theroadislong

We're trying to compile a list of business publications and the entry for Start Your Business is getting declined. There are WIKI pages and external sites linking to the publication and confirmation of the ISSN publication entry. Surely a business publication that has been in circulation for 15 years is suitable for an entry of Wikipedia? There are similar publications with less reference sources:

There are more examples where there is less information yet a published page. Please let me know what more information is needed or if the existing copy needs text amended.

Thanks Tony

Your draft Draft:Sussex Inventor has no sources, independent sources are what we base articles on. A Wikipedia article about a person must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about them, showing how they meet Wikipedia's special definition of a notable person. Slava Marlow Draft

Hi Theroadislong. Could you help me understand why you rejected Draft:Slava Marlow over at WP:AFC? I looked it over, and it seems to fall well within notability guidelines to me. Do you need help with analyzing the source material? I have native fluency with both Russian and English, and I occasionally contribute to Russian → English translations for WP:Translation. It looks like the subject is an artist who has charted #1 on Apple Music in Russia as well as on Yandex Music; that alone satisfies WP:SINGER#2. On top of that, I see some significant coverage in the Russian language Forbes article, a few Afisha articles, and some InterMedia articles. Could you clarify what you're looking for here? Please use {{ping}} when you reply. AlexEng(TALK) 01:54, 21 January 2022 (UTC)

Draft: Eva Grant (Photographer)

I've added some more references and made some minor tweaks. I would like to point out these are not just passing mentions. Several are feature articles about Eva Grant, such as "All About Eva" in Amateur Photographer, "The Creative Camera of Eva Grant" in Glamor Photos and "In the Flesh" in the British Journal of Photography. Figure magazine dedicated a whole issue to her, in which she was called "the world's foremost female figure photographer". And the British photography press described her as "one of the most expert and experienced woman glamour photographers in the business." That should cover the requirement to show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) so it won't be declined. Feel free to make more suggestions on how to improve the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aronnax1 (talkcontribs) 10:26, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi Theroadislong! Thank you for reviewing this for me. I was just in the tearoom asking for help for this page. Was your issue just that you personally didn't think my subject was notable? That may mean I didn't do a good enough job with the page and I need to work on writing entries then, as the person I selected is an important business person, owner of the only American soccer leagues, and commissioned the largest artwork in the Caribbean to date. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do next time when writing these entries? He also had 8 non-related national/international media sources. Hey you might remember me from yesterday, you took down my draft because it had copyright infringement from my own page, the thing is that I am an upcoming artists and I'm taking ym career seriously, and obicously I want to make a Wikipedia page because it gives great credibility to someone's story, the thing is if I write the article about me, how am I supposed to cite refrences if everyhting I'll be writing is getting brought from my head. Can I still have an accepted article withouth putting references? If not, could you help me on tips to make an article about me and getting it accepted? Thanks for your attention — Preceding unsigned comment added by Itsfrizzy (talkcontribs) 19:13, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

Itsfrizzy You have misunderstood how Wikipedia works I'm afraid. We are not interested in what the subject of an article says or wants to say about themselves, or what their associates say about them. Wikipedia is only interested in what people who have no connection with the subject, and who have not been prompted or fed information on behalf of the subject, have chosen to publish about the subject in reliable sources. Theroadislong (talk) 21:23, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
The term is "up-and-coming", not "upcoming." There's an entire essay here: WP:UPANDCOMINGNEXTBIGTHING. It's about the fact that we don't write articles about topics which might be big or ought to be noticed or are on the verge of fame. By definition, we write about topics that are already notable, which have already achieved fame or notoriety. --Orange Mike | Talk 22:09, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
See also: Wikipedia:The more reason you have to want an article on yourself the less reason we have to give you one. --Orange Mike | Talk 22:12, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

Concerning the article on Le Musee francais ...

I have cited a book on the subject (by Weissert), a book where the subject is delt with extensively (Sgarbi), an article in the official journal of the print dept. of the national library of France and an article in a distinguished Art History jounral (both by McKee), as well as library cataloging that is extremely detailed and extensive, two articles, and 2 bibliographic descriptions. What further information would be useful? The qualitative conclusions are from the period of the publication, not our own, because reproductive engraving has not been highly regarded since the nineteenth century. Does the article need further elaboration of the enthusiasm of its reception? This can be found in McKee's 1981 thesis. The objective of the article is to provide a base in Wikipedia for the presentation of a tabulation of all of the 504 engravings in the publication, which has never been done, previously, and which would be a genuine contribution to scholarship and to general information, if available on the Internet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by George-Amherst (talkcontribs) 22:50, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

Frieze Art Fair

Hello! Why is it unjustified promotion to add the dates, number of exhibitors and price charged for the last art fairs to this article? I am not promoting anything, just updating the page, and sourced the information from the art newspaper, which I believe to be a reliable source. Please reply on the article talk page if you prefer. ♥ L'Origine du monde ♥ Talk 22:51, 23 January 2022 (UTC)

I would like to add that I find your description of my sourced, factual update of the article as "Entirely inappropriate promotion" offensive as well as incomprehensible. ♥ L'Origine du monde ♥ Talk 23:02, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
(talk page stalker)Because that kind of information, especially prices for booths, is inappropriate and not encyclopedic content. Where is the content from art magazines, from critics? --Orange Mike | Talk 23:15, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
User:Orangemike why are prices for booths inappropriate and not encyclopedic content? Price information has been in the article for years, and many encyclopedia entries mention prices. In any case he removed all the information I added.♥ L'Origine du monde ♥ Talk 23:19, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
(The art newspaper is an art magazine). Please add more information - it is the removal I object to. ♥ L'Origine du monde ♥ Talk 23:20, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
I think the whole "facts" section should be removed not added to, it is list cruft, trivia and is entirely inappropriate with it's content "Space hire was £180 per meter." etc etc.
I would be most grateful if you would either apologise for describing my edit as "entirely inappropriate promotion", or explain why you did so, as you have now given different reasons. The reasons you have given are very vague, and seem to me to fall into the category "I don't like it". I would also be grateful if you would actually explain why you think it wrong for the article to list the fairs, and why you think the space hire cost, sourced to a reliable source, entirely inappropriate. Are you planning to improve the article yourself?♥ L'Origine du monde ♥ Talk 12:37, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
See the comments by another user on the article's talk page "it seems to need to be fundamentally rewritten to make it encyclopaedic." I agree feel free to discuss there. Theroadislong (talk) 12:58, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
Theroadislong I don't want to ask for an apology there, and you don't seem to be engaging in the discussion. I know that the article is bad, I improved it, but you reverted my edit and have effectively blocked me from editing it. I repeat that I would like you to either provide a justification for calling my edit ""entirely inappropriate promotion" or apologise, rather than ignore me. You accused me of edit warring, but you are supposed to discuss your edits when requested.♥ L'Origine du monde ♥ Talk 13:39, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
Content you added included "Stands in the principal area cost £524 per sq. m, while Focus cost between £241-£338 per sq. m. There was also a Frieze Masters Art Fair for more slow moving historical art which had 132 galleries at a cost of £631 per sq M" this appeared to me to be rather promotional and un-required trivial detail. Theroadislong (talk) 13:52, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
Theroadislong I do not understand how you could misunderstand adding the cost for last years show as promoting anything. I also do not understand why you consider the cost of the fair a trivial detail, something I would like you to explain - perhaps by explaining what information about the fairs you consider important. You also removed the entries I added for last years shows - would you agree that they can be added to the article?♥ L'Origine du monde ♥ Talk 14:01, 24 January 2022 (UTC)

Not sure what else is required to publish on behalf of our artist

Hi, we are not simply using this as a promotional tool. We are looking to use wikipedia as in information resource to provide further information on one of my clients, Gabriel Reyes-Whittaker, who is also mentioned elsewhere on wikipedia (for example, in the article for Kelela for his production work for her). This artist is signed to a large indie label (Stones Throw Records), who, of course, has a wikipedia page as well. What other criteria is required? I see pages for artists who do not meet either of those criteria with pages here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Puserisrivate (talkcontribs) 19:23, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
